Цель занятия: Understand the role of finance in modern corporations. Learn how to produce financial forecasts, including free cash flow calculation and sensitivity analysis. Apply some basic mathematics to finance to estimate present and future values, as well as internal rates of return. Evaluate investment projects (capital budgeting). Calculate the cost of capital using the CAPM and the WACC models. Find to ways to estimate the optimal capital structure for a firm. Analyse how corporates raise capital in equity and debt (public and private) financial markets. Be able to plan a dividend policy as well as other payouts for shareholders. Apply the knowledge acquired in the course to business valuation, including, discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, discount dividend model (DDM) and Relative Valuation.
